Fingernail Policy
⚠️ Artificial nails are strictly prohibited in all patient care areas
⚠️ Refusal to remove artificial nails will result in contract termination

Shift Details
• 3x12 Hour Day Shifts
• Shift Timing: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Orientation & Testing
⚠️ Pass/Fail exam during Friday orientation
• Open-book exam based on orientation skills/content
• All study resources provided
• Minimum score required: 90%
• Failure to pass results in termination

Unit Information
• Med/Surg Oncology Unit
• 21 Beds
• Typical Ratio: 1:5

‍⚕️ Patient Population
Mostly Medical/Surgical patients with focus on:
• Post tumor surgical interventions
• Prostatectomy
• Mastectomy
• General post-op surgical oncology care

Drip Experience
RNs are required to titrate drips including:
• Heparin
• Lidocaine
• TPN

Required Certifications
✔ BLS

⭐ Preferred
• Oncology Certification is a plus (not required)
⚠️ Travelers will NOT administer chemotherapy due to internal competency requirements

Telemetry
• Central monitoring used
• RNs responsible for recognizing rhythm changes

Support Staff
• Charge Nurse / House Supervisor available
• Nurse aides available depending on patient/sitter needs
• Approximate aide ratio: 1:15

Scheduling & Requirements
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Rotating holidays required
• No call or standby requirement

Floating
• Rare floating
• Only to other Med/Surg units if needed

Scrub Color
• Navy Blue
