Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: Long-term assignment Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 13.33 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS/CPR certification Must-Have: - Must be computer literate - Must be available any day of the week, including weekends - Willingness to adapt to changing schedules - Ability to work in a facility with extensive walking requirements Description: Provides professional nursing care to patients in a state-operated facility. Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. Makes nursing rounds and takes and records vital signs. Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans. Monitors patients who are restrained and provides immediate medical attention in emergencies. Administers first aid and arranges transportation to emergency services when necessary. Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals. Participates in staff development and education initiatives. Reviews care plans created by staff and trains new employees as necessary. Responsible for the health care of bedridden patients, including evaluating care needs. Administers medications, including narcotics, in accordance with facility protocols. Performs specialized procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and CPR. Conducts clerical tasks, including documentation of medications and treatment records. Completes required reports, such as incident and accident reports. Maintains compliance with facility security regulations and protocols.
