Director, Audience & Connections Strategy

Director, Audience & Connections Strategy Wpromote is seeking a Director, Audience & Connections Strategy to act as a key strategic partner, blending audience intelligence with connections planning to design cross‑channel strategies that connect brands with their most valuable consumers. As an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director of Connections Strategy, the selected candidate will shape how data, insights, and culture come together to drive meaningful impact across media touchpoints. Responsibilities Design comprehensive connections strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels. Conduct analysis and research to uncover category, cultural, and consumer insights. Create meaningful consumer journeys that map the path to purchase and identify key moments of influence. Serve as a strategic thought partner to clients, providing expert guidance on media investment decisions. Collaborate closely with media, data, account, and creative teams to ensure strategies align with broader campaign objectives. Represent the agency's strategic point of view in client presentations and new business pitches. Contribute to thought‑leadership initiatives that position the agency as an industry leader. Qualifications 6–8 years of experience in consumer insights, connections strategy, or a related field within an advertising/media agency. Deep expertise in audience and competitive intelligence tools such as GWI, MRI‑Simmons, Resonate, Kantar/Media Radar, Pathmatics, EDO, and SimilarWeb. Proven success partnering with integrated media teams to develop and execute strategies across both traditional and digital channels. Strong ability to cultivate and grow client partnerships, driving collaboration, trust, and strategic alignment. Background supporting new business pitches and collaborating closely with media strategy. Experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Deep understanding of the media landscape, including digital, social, programmatic, and traditional channels. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify meaningful insights and patterns. Experience developing consumer journey frameworks and campaign platforms. Working knowledge of AI tools and capability to design creative prompts for ideation and framework development. Strategic mindset with a consumer‑centric approach. Strong communication and presentation skills that inspire clients and teams. Understanding of media planning, research, and measurement methodologies. Nice to Have Advanced degree or industry certifications. Compensation: The anticipated annual salary for this role is $118,000 – $130,000, with potential for annual performance bonus and a target bonus component based on company, department, and individual performance.
