About the Position

Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required. Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled travel RN to join our surgical intensive care unit team. This unit features 26 beds with a staff of 15. The staff includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech on each shift. Patient ratios are typically 1:2, and 1:1 for high acuity patients such as post-CABG cases. The unit is equipped with various advanced equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia machines, and ECMO. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates with prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities are preferred. The ideal candidate will be driven, organized, efficient, with a positive attitude and engagement. Typical procedures performed on this unit include care for trauma patients, post-CABG patients, post-TAVR patients, and general post-surgical ICU cases. Common interventions include managing chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips. We look forward to welcoming a new member to our exceptional ICU team.
