Marketing Communications Specialist

We are seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support a variety of marketing, communications, events, engagement, and operational initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, varied role and wants exposure across social media, email marketing, content creation, graphic design, event promotion, and special projects. You’ll work closely with leadership and a collaborative team while having the opportunity to take ownership of projects and bring new ideas to the table. What You’ll Do Create and coordinate content across social media, email campaigns, newsletters, websites, and other digital channels. Write and edit engaging content including announcements, promotional materials, organizational updates, and feature stories. Design social graphics, flyers, event materials, presentations, digital assets, and other branded content using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite. Assist with marketing campaigns supporting events, programs, partnerships, and engagement initiatives. Coordinate event-related communications and promotional materials before and after events. Update website content and help maintain digital communication platforms. Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all communications. Monitor email, social media, and digital engagement and help identify opportunities to improve performance. Support ongoing outreach and engagement initiatives. Assist with special projects and reporting in partnership with leadership. Provide general administrative and operational support, including maintaining records, coordinating vendors and office needs, and assisting with basic payment and recordkeeping processes. Stay current on social media, digital marketing, communications trends, and emerging AI tools. Jump in on additional projects and priorities as needed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred. 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, events, or a related role. Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Experience creating content for social media, email marketing, websites, and digital campaigns. Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite with a strong eye for design. Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar tools is a plus. Experience working with website content management systems is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
