Job Description: As a Property Accountant you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our commercial and retail properties. This position offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of commercial and retail properties.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor property budgets and assist in budget preparation.
- Generate rent invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings.
- Work closely with property managers to address financial inquiries and concerns.
- Prepare financial reports for property owners and investors.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Previous experience in property accounting is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
