Speech Pathologist - Supplemental/PRN

The Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for performing age-specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient's individual needs. This includes assessment and evaluation of speech, language, cognitive/communication disorders and swallowing dysfunction. The SLP develops a plan of care, performs treatment as indicated, assesses patients' response to treatment, and assists with discharge planning. The SLP utilizes equipment, materials, and devises and/or adapts treatment strategies to maximize a patient's swallow function and/or communication potential. The SLP provides education related to the diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care of the communication disorder to the patient, family/caregiver and other members of the healthcare team.
