Before becoming a State Farm agent, I worked in outside industrial sales, and with my husband having over 28 years of experience with State Farm, insurance has been a big part of our lives. I’m a proud mother of five children, all of whom attended local colleges. Family and community are incredibly important to me, and that carries into how I run the office. We are very active in the community - supporting local high schools, staying engaged on social media, and serving in leadership roles such as President of the Board of Directors for St. Nicholas Charity and involvement with the Home Builders Association. Role Description As a Customer Service Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member with Shayne Laughlin - State Farm Agent, you will generate the kind of exceptional customer experiences that reinforce the growth of a successful insurance agency. Your attention to detail, customer service skills, and desire to help people make you a fit. You will enhance your career while resolving customer inquiries, coordinating with other agency team members, and anticipating the needs of the community members you support. We anticipate internal growth opportunities for especially driven and sales-minded candidates. Responsibilities Answer customer inquiries and provide policy information. Assist customers with policy changes and updates. Process insurance claims and follow up with customers. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions. Qualifications Communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and able to multitask. Previous customer service experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour About Our Agency We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement Planning, Business Insurance, College Planning, Health Insurance, and Renters Insurance. Our office is located in Lake Charles, LA. Our office is open 8:30 - 5:00. I have been a State Farm agent since 2012. We currently have 5 team members at our agency. We have Over 50 years of combined insurance experience in our office. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees.
