Job Title : Mortgage Servicing Escrow Specialist

Location : Addison

Hours : 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F

Position Summary:

Responsible for processing tasks, monitoring insurance and tax vendors, fulfilling customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction, and responding to internal and external customers regarding all escrow related inquiries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       Ensure insurance and tax vendors are processing hazard, flood, and force placed insurance premiums and tax disbursements on escrowed/impounded loans timely and accurately.

·       Review and process payments of private mortgage insurance premiums.

·       Process escrow analyses according to company policies and procedures.

·       Ensure all escrow related refunds are processed timely.

·       Ensure insurance vendor is monitoring all Loss Drafts to confirm all repairs are completed prior to releasing insurance claim funds.

·       Coordinate with the Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy departments for approvals on property taxes and hazard insurance payments.

·       Update Servicing system to document conversations with customers and the status of all outstanding items.

·       Responsible for responding to the borrower’s verbal and written inquiries regarding any escrow issue.

·       Reviews and updates procedures as well as make recommendations for process improvements.

·       Work various daily, weekly, monthly and annual exception reports.

·       Process various special projects as needed.

·       Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• 2+ years in mortgage servicing
• Familiarity with Excel
• Familiarity with closing documents
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Critical Thinking
• Adaptability
• Team player but able to work independently
• LoanServ/Sagent experience preferred
