Through Marketech International Corporation USA, we support major semiconductor and industrial projects across the United States.Job Overview\nMarketech International Corporation USA is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Mechanical Lead to oversee the installation, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems on semiconductor, cleanroom, and high-tech construction projects.\nThis position provides technical and field leadership to mechanical craft personnel, subcontractors, and construction teams while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, customer requirements, and construction schedules.\nThe Mechanical Lead serves as a primary field resource for mechanical construction activities and works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Safety, Commissioning, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and other construction disciplines.\nThe ideal candidate has extensive experience with mechanical piping, HVAC, process utilities, equipment installation, construction sequencing, field supervision, and semiconductor facility construction. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, organization, communication, and the ability to resolve field issues in a fast-paced construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Mechanical Construction\n\n \n Lead daily mechanical construction activities on active semiconductor and high-tech project sites.\n \n Supervise and provide direction to mechanical craft personnel, subcontractors, foremen, and field crews.\n \n Assign daily work activities and ensure field personnel understand project priorities, installation requirements, and safety expectations.\n \n Plan and coordinate the installation of mechanical piping systems, HVAC systems, process utilities, equipment, supports, hangers, and related infrastructure.\n \n Monitor field productivity and ensure mechanical work progresses according to established schedules and project milestones.\n \n Conduct daily field walks to verify installation quality, safety compliance, workmanship, and construction progress.\n \n Identify and resolve field conflicts, constructability concerns, installation issues, and coordination challenges.\n \n Ensure mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, manufacturer requirements, and client expectations.\n \n Coordinate equipment setting, alignment, rigging, and connection activities.\n \n Support system startup, testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, and final turnover.\n \n Verify mechanical work is properly completed before inspection or turnover to the client.\nMechanical Systems Coordination\n\n \n Coordinate mechanical construction activities involving process piping, chemical systems, gas systems, HVAC, exhaust, compressed air, cooling water, ultrapure water, wastewater, and other facility utilities.\n \n Review construction drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams, isometric drawings, equipment layouts, specifications, and mechanical plans before installation.\n \n Verify equipment locations, piping routes, elevations, slopes, clearances, supports, access requirements, and maintenance space.\n \n Coordinate installation sequencing with electrical, structural, plumbing, controls, fire protection, process utility, equipment-installation, and commissioning teams.\n \n Identify trade conflicts and work with project stakeholders to develop practical field solutions.\n \n Assist with constructability reviews and recommend installation methods that improve safety, productivity, and quality.\n \n Ensure installation activities are coordinated to avoid delays, rework, and interference with other construction disciplines.\n \n Support cleanroom and contamination-control requirements associated with mechanical construction activities.\nProject Coordination & Planning\n\n \n Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Quality, Safety, Logistics, and Commissioning teams.\n \n Participate in project meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, scheduling discussions, field planning sessions, and client meetings.\n \n Assist with short-term scheduling, look-ahead planning, manpower planning, work sequencing, and milestone tracking.\n \n Communicate daily progress, constraints, safety concerns, material needs, and schedule risks to project leadership.\n \n Coordinate requests for information, field changes, design revisions, drawing updates, and redline documentation.\n \n Review revised drawings and ensure field personnel understand changes before continuing affected work.\n \n Monitor material deliveries and identify shortages, damaged materials, missing equipment, or procurement concerns that may affect project schedules.\n \n Coordinate with Procurement and Logistics to ensure required materials, tools, equipment, and access are available before work begins.\n \n Support subcontractor planning and verify that required labor, supervision, tools, materials, and documentation are available.\n \n Assist with tracking project milestones, system completion, inspections, testing, and turnover activities.\nSafety Leadership\n\n \n Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company, client, project, and OSHA safety requirements.\n \n Lead or participate in daily pre-task planning, toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, safety briefings, and coordination meetings.\n \n Ensure field personnel use required personal protective equipment and follow approved work procedures.\n \n Verify that required permits, inspections, training, and safety documentation are completed before work begins.\n \n Monitor compliance with lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined-space, hot-work, rigging, elevated-work, and other applicable safety requirements.\n \n Identify unsafe conditions and immediately stop or correct work that presents a safety risk.\n \n Report incidents, near misses, hazards, and property damage according to project procedures.\n \n Coordinate with Safety personnel to address field concerns and implement corrective actions.\n \n Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.\nQuality Assurance & Documentation\n\n \n Verify mechanical installations meet project quality standards, approved drawings, client specifications, and applicable codes.\n \n Inspect piping, equipment, supports, hangers, valves, fittings, and mechanical connections for proper installation.\n \n Confirm systems are correctly routed, labeled, supported, aligned, and accessible for operation and maintenance.\n \n Participate in quality inspections, system walkdowns, punch walks, client inspections, and quality audits.\n \n Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed before final acceptance.\n \n Support pressure testing, leak testing, flushing, cleaning, commissioning, and system turnover documentation.\n \n Maintain accurate daily reports, field records, progress updates, inspection documentation, and completed-work records.\n \n Review and support redline drawings, as-built documentation, test records, checklists, and turnover packages.\n \n Ensure completed work is properly documented before systems are concealed, energized, or transferred to the commissioning team.\nTeam Leadership & Development\n\n \n Provide leadership, technical guidance, and daily direction to mechanical field teams and subcontractors.\n \n Lead and mentor junior mechanical personnel, foremen, technicians, and craft workers.\n \n Assist with training personnel on installation methods, safety procedures, quality requirements, and project expectations.\n \n Promote teamwork, accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement throughout the project.\n \n Foster clear communication between field personnel, office staff, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project leadership.\n \n Address performance, communication, or coordination concerns promptly and professionally.\n \n Build positive working relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.\n \n Support workforce planning and communicate manpower needs to project management.\n \n Encourage field teams to identify risks, report issues, and recommend practical improvements.\nRequired Qualifications\n\n \n High school diploma or equivalent.\n \n Seven or more years of mechanical construction experience.\n \n At least two years of experience in a lead, foreman, supervisory, or field-leadership role.\n \n Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects.\n \n Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems, HVAC, process utilities, equipment installation, and facility infrastructure.\n \n Experience supervising mechanical craft personnel, subcontractors, or field crews.\n \n Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams, isometric drawings, specifications, equipment layouts, and construction documents.\n \n Knowledge of mechanical construction sequencing, installation practices, field coordination, and system turnover.\n \n Experience coordinating work across multiple construction trades.\n \n Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction-site safety practices.\n \n Ability to identify and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and installation concerns.\n \n Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n \n Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing project requirements.\n \n Ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field personnel.\n \n Ability to work scheduled shifts, overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on project needs.\n \n Ability to complete required project-site onboarding, safety training, and employment screening.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n \n Technical training, trade certification, apprenticeship completion, or an associate degree in a construction-related discipline.\n \n Experience supporting semiconductor fabrication facility construction.\n \n Experience working on TSMC or another major semiconductor manufacturing project.\n \n OSHA 30 certification.\n \n Experience with process piping, chemical distribution, specialty gas, bulk gas, ultrapure water, wastewater, process cooling water, or compressed-air systems.\n \n Experience supporting cleanroom construction and contamination-control requirements.\n \n Experience coordinating startup, testing, commissioning, system turnover, and project closeout.\n \n Familiarity with BIM, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar design and document-review software.\n \n Experience using Procore, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or other construction-management platforms.\n \n Knowledge of rigging, equipment setting, pressure testing, mechanical completion, and turnover procedures.\n \n Current aerial lift, scissor lift, forklift, rigging, or other relevant construction certifications.\n \n Bilingual English and The Mechanical Lead may work in cleanrooms, sub-fabrication areas, equipment rooms, utility buildings, mechanical spaces, elevated work areas, outdoor environments, and field offices.\nThe position requires frequent coordination with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, clients, engineers, and project leadership.
