If you’re looking for meaningful work, a team that cares deeply, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact in your community, Meta House is where your career and your purpose align.The Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s compliance program to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, healthcare and privacy laws, and internal policies/standards. This role partners with leadership across clinical, operational, and administrative functions to promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability.Regulatory and Contractual Compliance OversightEnsure organizational compliance with federal and state regulations (including, but not limited to HIPAA, CMS, OIG guidance, and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations) and contractual requirementsImplement corrective action to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance including policy, procedure and/or training updatesMaintain, update, and draft necessary organizational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct to ensure compliance with regulations and contractual requirements and to meet operational needsAuditing, Monitoring, and Risk AssessmentManage external regulatory audits including state licensing, contractual reviews, and Department of Corrections PREA audits; coordinate and lead required responses including documentation, appeals, and corrective action plansLead internal audit efforts and monitoring activities across departments to mitigate risk in areas including confidentiality and disclosure practices, clinical documentation and billing accuracy, client rights and PREA compliance and incident reportingAnalyze trends in external and internal audit findings to proactively identify compliance risks and improvement opportunitiesStay current on regulatory requirements and industry best practices to anticipate and mitigate risk exposureAdvise leadership on compliance obligations and emerging risks, and collaborate with operational and clinical teams to investigate issues and ensure timely resolutionDevelop, implement, and track corrective actions and continuous improvement initiativesTraining & CommunicationDesign comprehensive and compliant training program for staff and leadershipCreate awareness of compliance standards across the organization and promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and client-centered careInvestigations & Incident ManagementLead internal incident reporting and investigation efforts and ensure appropriate follow-up including documentation of findingsCoordinate with other departmental leaders including Human Resources and clinical leadership, as needed, to appropriately respond to investigation outcomesTrack and report on compliance metrics and key risk indicatorsEducational RequirementsBachelor’s degree - Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Law, or related field requiredMaster’s degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, JD) preferredExperience5–8+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, audit oversight/management, or related field requiredExperience in a nonprofit healthcare delivery setting strongly preferredLicensure/Credentials/CertificationsCertificate(s) in healthcare compliance, privacy, internal investigations, ethics or similar disciplines preferredLeadershipManages performance by providing expectations, accountability, and ongoing feedbackFosters a positive and productive work environment while setting a personal example by modeling Meta House’s valuesBuilds and develops talent by hiring and training thoughtfully; identifies growth opportunities and supports continuous skill development of team membersEnsures operational excellence by leading execution while focusing on quality, efficiency, and consistencyBuilds alignment by connecting team’s work to organizational goals and strategyOperates department within approved budget while making thoughtful, values-aligned decisions about resource utilizationConnects frontline experience to organizational decision making by regularly gathering feedback from team and communicating same to senior management.Creates conditions for team to thrive by addressing workflow issues, resource gaps, and operational challenges so employees can focus on delivering high-quality serviceKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)Strong knowledge of healthcare and privacy regulations (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, Medicare/Medicaid, billing compliance)Analytical, auditing, and risk assessment skillsAbility to manage sensitive/confidential issues with discretionExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsProject management and organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsTolerate occasional hot or cold days.Sit or stand for extended periods of time including alternating sitting or standing at will.Lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.Ascend and descend stairs using feet and legs.Bend, stoop, twist, squat, and kneel to perform essential functions.Reach overhead, and at or below shoulder level.Read and enter text or data into a computer or other system.Seize, hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with hands.Touch, pick, punch or otherwise working with fingers.Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in order to communicate with clients and/or colleagues.Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and convey detailed spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.See clearly at approximately 20 inches or less including use of computers or tablet.Visually identify clients and others for reasons including but not limited to security and presence in the building. #J-18808-Ljbffr Meta-House
