In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. \n \n \n \n \n Job Functions:\n \n Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.\n Reflects core values when interacting with co-workers, patients, family members, and others in the community to foster an environment where employees are engaged and where patient care is unparalleled.\n Leads in a way that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization.\n Represents the organization positively within the community; participates in company-supported community/patient events and in-services.\n Assists with staff scheduling. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.\n Completes other duties as assigned.\n \n About the Unit:\n \n \n 13 bed Medical Surgical ICU\n Caring for patients with respiratory diagnoses, high level of ox requirements, septic patients, GI patients with infections, DKA, stroke, seizer, medical/surgical oncology, and overflow cardio\n Patient to Nurse ratio 2:1\n Proficiency training for specialty equipment\n Experienced charge nurses and unit leadership\n Offering new to specialty orientation for experienced nurses with progressive care backgrounds\n \n What qualifications you will need:\n \n Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required\n Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required\n 2-5 years of ICU experience as a licensed Registered Nurse highly preferred\n Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)\n Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required\n Benefits\n \n Methodist Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
