Florida Claim Customer Service Representative

Position Claim Customer Service Representative – The Auto Club Group, Tampa, Florida (Hybrid). Full‑time position. Job Summary Handle first notice of loss, claim inquiries, and low‑complexity, one‑touch claims in a call center environment. Interface with customers via phone, website, and other sources, providing clear information on claim status, coverage, and related services. Key Responsibilities Identify non‑complex claims for one‑touch adjudication upon intake. Determine type and extent of loss, ensuring consistency with reported facts. Review legal and police/fire reports and interpret policy language. Authorize or deny claims, initiate services such as car rental, vehicle repairs, or homeowner claims. Create and recommend settlement value within specified limits. Identify additional exposures, create sub‑claims, and refer files for investigation. Inform insured of coverage decisions and explain payments. Document claim files and review reserve status, making adjustments as needed. Identify salvage and subrogation potential per company policy. Close claims in a timely manner and ensure compliance with state regulations. Provide basic claim procedures information to members following the Customer Interaction Model. Promote customer satisfaction and meet service goals and standards. Navigate claim processing systems such as FACTS, CPS, IPM and others. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Active Florida State Adjuster License. Completion of AAA‑approved call‑center training and ongoing ACG Claim Representative training. Experience handling claim inquiries with PCs and software such as Microsoft Office. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of claim processing policy, procedures, and state insurance laws. Telephone etiquette and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide high‑level customer service and work independently or in a team. Willingness to work irregular shifts, including weekends and holidays. Resident within 50 miles of Tampa, Florida.
