Coordinator of Married Life

Position Summary The Catholic Diocese of Raleigh seeks a mission‑driven and organized Coordinator of Married Life to join its team. Under the general supervision of the Director of Marriage and Family Life, the Coordinator serves the Catholic community of Eastern North Carolina by supporting parish leaders and parishioners in areas related to Marriage, Family, and Fertility Awareness, providing such support to the Catholic community in the area. Job Details Description This role involves supporting parishes and the community through educational programming, event coordination, communication campaigns, and ministry support. Key Responsibilities Conduct administrative duties related to core responsibilities, including email, phone calls, and form submissions. Respond to the needs of parishes by providing prompt responses, training for parish leaders, and formation for couples. Coordinate, run, and support activities related to marriage, family, and fertility awareness, mainly through workshops. Run and coordinate communication campaigns through various media channels. Coordinate the Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass. Participate and lead people in prayer and worship. Proclaim the Gospel through word and action and intentionally share the kerygma. Support other Office of Evangelization and Discipleship activities as needed. Coordinate the preparation and submission of financial forms on behalf of the Department of Marriage and Family Life. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Family Studies, or a related area. At least one year of experience in pastoral ministry at the parish or diocesan level. Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic teachings, practices, and the mission of the Diocese. Professional demeanor reflective of the values and mission of the Diocese of Raleigh. Demonstrated experience in event organization. Excellent written and oral communication, and public speaking experience. Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and openness to learning new ministry‑related technologies. Highly organized with attention to detail. Willingness to travel and to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Discretion and prudence in maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information. Customer‑service orientation. Employment contingent upon passing a criminal background and reference check; completion of Diocese‑sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.
