About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Required License: Active Nursing License Required Certifications: BLS, MOAB Required Must-Have: Geriatric Behavioral Health Experience Description: This position involves the care of patients in a geriatric behavioral health setting. Candidates must have experience with bipolar disorders, degenerative disorders, depressive disorders, and schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:8. The average daily census is 15 patients, housed in 14 rooms with 20 beds. Travelers are accepted and first-time travelers are encouraged to apply. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Float requirements will apply. No call requirements are in place. Pre-approval for time off is limited to 7 days, with no additional requests allowed after booking. All time off must be pre-approved. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed. Consideration for this role requires completion of certain pre-start modules. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to geriatric patients.
