Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time - Overnights in Rockford IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location you will help manage entry points verify access credentials monitor site activity and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment for employees visitors and operations. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies access-control requirements and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials screening authorized visitors and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents access-control concerns and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including entrances gates loading areas and the perimeter to help identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with drivers employees visitors and site personnel while following established protocols for deliveries restricted areas and visitor access.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
