Assistant Community Manager Location: Pickwick Farms Apartments 1540 Handball Lane, Indianapolis, IN 46260 Job Summary: Are you passionate about creating exceptional resident experiences and supporting a thriving community? As the Assistant Community Manager , you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the property by partnering closely with the Community Manager, residents, and onsite teams. This position is responsible for providing administrative, financial, and resident relations support to ensure smooth community operations and outstanding customer service. The Assistant Community Manager serves as a vital resource for residents and team members, helping to maximize occupancy, support financial performance, and maintain the overall quality and value of the community. Working in collaboration with HQ SLI (Specialized Leasing Initiative) employees, including Resident Relations Specialists and Leasing Consultants, you will help create a welcoming environment where residents feel at home and operations run efficiently. Primary Responsibilities: Financial Administration: Assist with rent collection and posting of resident payments. Prepare and manage daily bank deposits. Process invoices and ensure timely submission for payment. Monitor delinquent accounts and assist with collection efforts. Support eviction administration and related documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Assist with tracking property expenses and maintaining accurate financial records. Operational & Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Community Manager in daily property operations. Assist with payroll submission and employee documentation as needed. Maintain resident and property files, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Help ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Serve as a point of contact in the Community Manager's absence and assist with resolving onsite concerns. Resident Relations: Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with residents. Assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. Respond to resident inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly. Coordinate resident events and community engagement activities. Support initiatives designed to enhance resident satisfaction and retention. Leasing & Occupancy Support: Collaborate with the SLI Leasing Specialist to support occupancy goals. Assist with apartment readiness communication, unit availability updates, and leasing activities. Conduct property tours and assist prospective residents as needed. Support lease administration and resident onboarding processes. Help maintain accurate property and resident reporting. Property Maintenance Coordination: Conduct routine inspections of the property and common areas. Coordinate with the service team to ensure service requests are completed professionally and timely. Monitor apartment readiness schedules and communicate status updates to appropriate team members. Assist in tracking work orders and ensuring resident follow-up is completed. Support efforts to maintain curb appeal and community standards. Safety & Compliance: Assist with property inspections and safety audits. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and reporting requirements. Document and report incidents, accidents, or safety concerns promptly. Support emergency preparedness and community safety initiatives. Work Schedule: Full-Time. (On-Site). Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-6:00PM. Saturday, 10:00AM-5:00PM. Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years in multifamily management. Education: High School Diploma/GED required; CAM/CALP preferred. Licenses: Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance required. Bilingual Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: Mostly desk work, occasional lifting (10-25 lbs), and various physical activities. Compensation: Hourly: $24-$27/HR (Dependent on experience and certifications). Monthly renewal bonus per unit ($125 per renewal, shared among all employees). Benefits: 401(k) matching.
