Our client is a 120+ bed hospital that is the primary healthcare provider for nearly 100,000 citizens of central Vermont. They have engaged our firm to help them identify the top available Director of Surgical Services for their busy but well-functioning department. Responsibilities At the direction of the Vice President for Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Services Director assumes responsibility for the operations and planning of services for Ambulatory Services, Surgical Services, Pain Clinic, and Infusion Center. Education Requirements RN with current unencumbered Vermont license. BSN required. Master's degree in nursing, business administration, or related field preferred on hire or obtained within 5 years of hire. Demonstrated clinical competence in all areas of responsibility is also required. Experience Requirements A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible management with demonstrated leadership/managerial potential which includes interpersonal competence, communication, and excellence in organizational ability is required.
