Member Services Representative - Bilingual Tagalog
Pay: $28.61/hour (W2)
Location: Alameda, CA (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Type: Temporary (current assignment end date on file: Dec 11, 2026)
Interview: Virtual interview (likely 1 round)
What you’ll do
- Serve as the first point of contact for members and providers for routine and complex inquiries
- Handle a high volume of inbound/outbound calls and respond via email, fax, letters, chat, and phone
- Identify needs, research issues across systems, and provide accurate solutions or next steps
- Document all interactions accurately in the CRM/electronic database
- Coordinate with internal teams (Claims, Enrollment, IT, Pharmacy, Authorizations, etc.) to resolve member issues
- Help members understand plan benefits, eligibility, authorizations, and managed care services
- De-escalate dissatisfied-customer situations with professionalism and empathy
Required qualifications
- Bilingual: Tagalog/English (bilingual proficiency exam required; must score 90%+)
- High school diploma/GED
- 1+ year of direct customer service experience (call center and/or managed care experience a plus)
- Strong communication, active listening, documentation, and computer skills
