If you’re eager to apply your legal training in a practical setting and gain hands-on experience managing complex matters, we encourage you to apply.***\*This is s hybrid role located in the Twin Cities.******For candidates that have a title insurance/claims background, remote work may be available if located out of state.*****Daily responsibilities may include**:* Process and manage title claims from states on a national level.* Claims management includes investigating and determining coverage, correspondence with insured as to coverage and status: statutory compliance resolving title defects, directing defenses with outside counsel, negotiating settlements mitigating losses for the company, determining agent liability, and pursuing/preserving recovery.* Review and track expenditures related to claims.* Negotiate claim settlements and obtain approval where necessary* Own a customer’s issue from initial contact to resolution or transition the issue to the appropriate person.* Ensure company policies and financial controls are understood and uniformly followed and administered and ensure work activities are carried out in compliance with federal, state and local laws.**Education:** Juris Doctor. Licensed to practice law. If not licensed by the state bar at employee’s office location, they must be permitted to act as corporate counsel in that state.**Skills and Experience required to be successful:*** Knowledge of title insurance and real estate closing transactions is preferred; however, strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills with an interest in real estate/title law will also be considered.* Aptitude for processing and organizing large volume of documentation and written communications.* Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.* Problem solving ability to effectuate solution for covered claims.***Some Travel is expected for company events or Claims work***#LI-MB1The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work.
