Underwriting Production Specialist - Human Services (Bala Cynwyd, PA)

Job Summary The Underwriting Production Specialist determines acceptability, conditions and pricing of specific property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks and agrees on coverage within regulatory requirements, corporate product offerings and designated authority level. They will be responsible for specific agency, region or LOB efforts and act as a front line referral source for more junior underwriters. This role is 80% production related responsibilities, 20% referral, training, special projects and agency relationship management. Responsibilities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of loss experience and business conditions of key accounts, regions or agents as well as loss trends and any relevant legal or economic factors regarding the property & casualty business line. Underwrite large, complex property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks. Participate on a team of underwriters and other staff to meet the property & casualty insurance and service needs of large multi‑product customers. Assist in training and development of coworkers as directed by management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, services, priorities and target markets in the property & casualty line of business or insurance segment. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of commercial underwriting experience.
