This position is part of the Business Services team and works closely with technical and professional staff to support critical accounting functions across the agency.This position is primarily responsible for processing accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner, including employee travel claims, expense vouchers, rent, lease, utility payments, and contract payment requests. The Accounts Payable Technician reviews financial documents for completeness and compliance with applicable federal and state laws, policies, rules, and procedures. This role also serves as the agency Travel Coordinator and reviews Small Purchase Order Transaction System (SPOTS) transactions for consistency, reasonableness, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. Credit hours must include introductory level accounting courses 1 and 2; **OR*** Successful completion of the State of Oregon Accounting Career Mobility Program or equivalent accounting certificate program from an accredited college or university; **OR*** At least 94 quarter (62 semester) credit hours or an associate degree from an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school that includes 12 quarter (8 semester) credit hours in accounting.
