Job Description & Requirements Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon. Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position in a short-term acute care facility located in the region. This role involves providing high-quality patient care with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry units, utilizing Epic charting system. The assignment is scheduled for nights with a 12-hour shift, offering a minimum of 36 hours per week. The position requires flexibility to float between units and facilities, with an emphasis on maintaining excellent clinical skills. Job Details Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, current valid license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), experience with Epic charting system, previous travel or community hospital experience, and experience managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, telemetry monitoring, and other specified skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with insulin administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, and handling bowel obstruction patients. Float: Float rotation may be required among various medical-surgical units and facilities. Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Candidates should be able to work three of the five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). Candidates may be required to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location. All module coursework must be completed prior to start, with approximately 16 hours of non-billable time. References covering the past 3 years are required, with at least 2 references, and the candidate must confirm prior experience at a similar healthcare setting.
