Food Manufacturer Production Lead

Summary:
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations in a food manufacturing environment to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company quality standards, food safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). This position provides leadership on the production floor, ensures accurate batch processing and labeling, maintains sanitation standards, and supports continuous operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes to ensure consistency, product quality, and compliance with established procedures.
• Verify that production dates, batch records, and LOT numbers are accurate and properly documented for every batch.
• Ensure product packaging labels accurately identify allergens, net weight, ingredients, LOT numbers, and other required regulatory information.
• Ensure employees follow sanitation procedures, personal hygiene standards, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
• Monitor compliance with food safety programs, GMPs, HACCP procedures, and company policies.
• Assist with training production employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety hazards promptly to management.
• Promote a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment required
• Previous lead, supervisor, or team lead experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a production setting
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work various shifts including weekends if needed
