Digital Marketing Communications Specialist

The American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is seeking a Digital Marketing Communications Specialist to develop, deploy, and track email and digital channel campaigns to retain and grow ASGCT membership, revenue generating programs, and support non-revenue generating communication initiatives. This role will work with a highly collaborative team to recommend, implement, measure and improve ASGCT website and social media engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily and tactical email creation, approvals, scheduling, deployment, and performance.
• Establish and manage engaging automated and manual email campaigns to support Society programs and events.
• Grow, develop, and segment email marketing lists including members, prospects, and event attendees to create targeted campaigns that increase engagement.
• Use data-backed measurement and analysis to constantly test, refine and scale campaigns to increase engagement.
• Deliver reporting and insights on digital metrics including web traffic and conversion data to influence business strategy and support continuous improvements to digital campaigns.
• Design relevant templates for ASGCT branded events and communication pipelines.
• Produce on-brand social media copy and graphics. Collaborate and contribute to annual and campaign-specific social channel content plans and strategies. Measure and report relevant social engagement metrics.
• Provide input on website designs and page layouts; respond to web update support requests; assist with website redesign and migration initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven email marketing experience; web design and content management skills; social media experience desired.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal stakeholders and teams.
• Must meet deadlines, have strong organizational skills and quantitative analysis abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
• Three or more years of related professional experience.
• Experience with non-profits, associations, or academic institutions strongly preferred.
• Some evening and weekend work, as needed.
• Occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel up to 2 weeks per year.
