Refrigeration Supervisor

Bachoco USA is seeking a Refrigeration Supervisor for our Heavener, OK facility. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (2pm - 11pm)

Summary: Oversees maintenance and repairs of ammonia refrigeration systems. Supervises refrigeration employees. Maintains temperature to plant specifications and USDA requirements. Must keep and maintain accurate records for local, state, and federal inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Maintains and up keeps all cooling and air handling machinery.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Maintains accurate preventative maintenance (PM) schedule to equipment specifications.
• Trains and supervises employees.
• Consistently maintains critical temperature requirements throughout facilities.
• Enforces safety rules.
• Maintains government regulations regarding ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Maintains Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Must have the ability to drive a vehicle for company business purposes.
• Must submit to and pass a background investigation. This is a safety sensitive position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 6-8 employees in the refrigeration department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Five years ammonia refrigeration experience and Process Safety Management experience. Electrical experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of human resource systems and ERP software. Some knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
