The Role: Are you a relationship-builder who enjoys the technical side of construction? FoamTech Insulation is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to manage our growing pipeline of residential and commercial projects.

This is a low-to-no pressure sales environment . Our reputation since 1997 does the talking for us; your job is to provide the expertise, accuracy, and dependability our repeat customers have come to expect. You will split your time between the office (answering inquiries and performing take-offs from plans) and the field (conducting site visits).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan Take-offs: Accurately calculate insulation requirements (board footage, square footage) from architectural blueprints for new construction projects.
• Consultative Selling: Respond to inbound inquiries, providing honest recommendations based on building science rather than high-pressure tactics.
• Field Estimating: Travel to job sites across Southern Wisconsin to conduct energy audits, measure attics/crawl spaces, and identify air sealing opportunities.
• Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for our "Circle of Trust"—the repeat builders and contractors who have used FoamTech for decades.
• Proposal Generation: Prepare clear, professional, and detailed quotes using our pricing software.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with the spray foam crews to ensure the scope of work is understood and expectations are met.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Construction Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret construction plans/blueprints is essential.
• Sales Philosophy: A "Help First" mindset. We prioritize long-term customer satisfaction over short-term sales volume.
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with building envelopes, R-values, and the differences between open-cell, closed-cell, and blown-in insulation.
• Communication: Exceptional phone etiquette and professional writing skills for office-based work.
• Local Knowledge: Residing in or near the Southern Wisconsin area with a valid driver’s license.
