Senior Revenue Accountant

Sales is the engine of this business and commissions accounting sits at the center of it — so this is a high-visibility seat with a clear runway into FP&A or accounting leadership. We care most about a strong public accounting foundation. If you have that, we'll teach you the commission's specifics. Coming straight from a Big 4, national, or regional firm? Auditors at the associate, staff, and senior level are all encouraged to apply — you don't need prior commissions experience. What you'll do Own commissions accrual and the capitalization and roll-off of commissions under ASC 340-40, with ramp-up support as you learn the function Handle external and partner commissions end to end — accrue, capitalize, and roll off commissions paid to partners, and manage timely partner reporting and payment through the procure-to-pay process Report accurately to FP&A and clearly explain what's happening inside the commission plans and how they're accounted for Help rebuild the ASC 340-40 process on the foundation already in progress, and rebuild the SOX compliance framework toward IPO-ready standards Manage high-volume amortization in NetSuite ARM — roughly 1,500–3,000 schedules imported and rolled off monthly Work across 26 compensation plans covering 550+ commissionable employees (growing 15%) and about 2,800 contracts a month Flex into ASC 606 subscription accounting and revenue recognition during lighter close periods Mentor two junior accountants — the team runs like an audit group, with a few staff and several seniors What we're looking for Must have Public accounting experience — audit or assurance at a Big 4, national, or regional firm. Associate, staff, or senior level are all welcome; this is the background that matters most to us. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field A solid U.S. GAAP foundation and comfort reading and applying technical accounting guidance Strong Excel skills, sharp analytical ability, close attention to detail, and clear communication Nice to have — we'll teach you the rest Commissions or revenue accounting experience (ASC 340-40 or ASC 606) — helpful, not required Hands-on experience with NetSuite or NetSuite ARM, Performio, or similar commission tools Any experience improving, building, or rebuilding a process or a controls framework CPA, or working toward it — a plus, not required Don't have commission experience? That's exactly fine. We're hiring for the audit and technical-accounting foundation and will train you on the commission specifics.
