Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Compensation & Equity to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a valid CPA license, experience with stock/equity/payroll and 2+ years experience in public accounting. The Senior Accountant, Compensation & Equity role is remote. This is a client direct hire position. Senior Accountant, Compensation & Equity Job Responsibilities Take ownership of accounting for equity, stock-based compensation, and payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Drive the month-end close process with a goal of consistently achieving a 1–2 week close timeline. Collaborate with the accounting team to design, document, and enhance processes, internal controls, and reporting in alignment with public company readiness. Apply technical accounting expertise to provide insightful guidance on complex issues and support sound decision-making. Work cross-functionally with HR, FP&A, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and efficiency in payroll and equity-related processes. Lead and contribute to strategic projects aimed at strengthening the accounting infrastructure and supporting scalable growth. Senior Accountant, Compensation & Equity Qualifications CPA required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. 2+ years in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred) plus 2–3 years of industry experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP with exposure to equity and payroll accounting. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, less structured, startup-like environment.
