MRI Technologist – Pediatric
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with some flexibility. Holidays as per unit needs.
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Requirements: Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology MRI Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred Two (2) years of experience in MRI BLS certification from American Heart Association NYS Radiologic Tech License (must be obtained prior to start) Siemens scanner experience required Level 1 Trauma Center experience Minimum of six (6) months of pediatric experience
Roles & Responsibilities: Operate MRI machines efficiently while ensuring patient comfort during procedures. Prepare patients for scans by explaining the process and alleviating concerns. Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality. Adhere to MRI safety policies and guidelines. Screen and prepare patients for scanning and determine the need for sedation or anesthesia based on motion or other factors. Provide care for patients ranging from neonates to age 18, ensuring age-appropriate practices.
