Sous Chef - Senior Living

Location Fox Run Village by Erickson Senior Living, Novi, Michigan Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef with a strong culinary background and a commitment to teamwork and leadership. The role will play a key part in our Signature Dining Programs, including à la minute cooking and chef‑inspired creations. Key Responsibilities Supervise scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff. Oversee all culinary functions in the Chef’s absence, including staffing, food production, utility management, and kitchen sanitation. Manage daily kitchen production and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals. Direct the preparation and service of all menu items, ensuring adherence to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, quality, dietary restrictions, and production forecasts. Oversee the organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years full‑service culinary experience. Minimum of 6 months supervisory and coaching experience. Ability to work on weekends and holidays. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in extreme temperatures, from hot kitchen environments to refrigerators and freezers. Benefits Most team members finish before 9 pm.
