Key Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching certification with 461 Comprehensive endorsement
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting is preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to tailor instruction to meet individual student needs
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
• Passionate about advocating for and empowering every student

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to foster a positive learning environment
• Adapt curriculum materials and develop interventions to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth

This full-time contract role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, giving you the opportunity to work closely with students and staff throughout the school year. Compensation is competitive with a pay range of $35-40 per hour, paid weekly.
