Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Special Education Teacher certification with a 461 comprehensive endorsement (required)
• Experience delivering specialized instruction and accommodations for students with exceptionalities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements for special education

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to promote inclusion and student success
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Engage with families and caregivers to support student growth and communicate progress
• Maintain thorough records, attend meetings, and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Foster a positive, supportive, and structured classroom environment
