Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using structured evaluation methods and observational analysis.
• Create customized care plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functionality.
• Engage with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate integrated care strategies.
• Deliver education to patients and families to facilitate progress outside of the therapeutic environment.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless patient care throughout their treatment journey.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, adhering to applicable state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Maintain currency with the latest research and innovations in the field through ongoing education and professional dialogue.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a guided Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
