Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients covering a range of ages utilizing formal assessment tools and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans designed to fulfill immediate goals and further long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeted towards communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care models.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families, empowering progress beyond clinic walls.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity of care as patients navigate their recovery journey.
• Ensure up-to-date and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through education and collaborative practice within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
