Test Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on test engineering, working with production and test equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to diagnose hardware, component, and test failures.
• Hands-on hardware and software testing experience, including integrating test equipment/software and testing products against engineering requirements.
• Hands-on experience with at least one National Instruments technology: LabVIEW, TestStand, or LabWindows/CVI.
• Component-level testing experience, including analyzing test results and documenting technical findings.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with equipment like punching machines, laser welders, shaker vibration testing, and shock testing.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer to support an aerospace customers aftermarket engineering activities across their avionics portfolio, including Surveillance Systems, Flight Recorders, and Electronic Flight Displays. This role serves as a key technical resource supporting both Engineering and Repair & Overhaul (R&O) operations by maintaining and enhancing automated test systems, and driving product sustainment initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with repair technicians, systems engineers, manufacturing engineering, and product line leaders to improve troubleshooting effectiveness, reduce turnaround time, increase first-pass yield, and ensure the long-term supportability of deployed avionics products.

This position requires experience with automated test development and maintenance using National Instruments technologies, including LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
