CAD Technician

Edgewater Technical Associates Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a CAD Technician opportunity to support the Savannah River Site . Work Location: Aiken, SC CAD Technician- The CAD Technician will support a multi-year construction project involving civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and site infrastructure construction. Duties Prepare and revise construction drawings, sketches, and details using AutoCAD and related design software. Incorporate field redlines, engineering changes, and as-built information into project drawings. Support civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and site infrastructure drawing updates. Assist Engineering and Field Engineering with drawings and sketches needed to support construction. Maintain accurate drawing revisions and electronic files in accordance with project document control requirements. Coordinate drawing updates with Engineering, Construction, Field Engineering, and Document Control. Support preparation of final as-built drawings and project turnover documentation. Skills/Experience One to three (1–3) years of CAD/drafting experience supporting industrial construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar projects. Proficiency with AutoCAD and experience preparing and revising technical or construction drawings. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, and technical information. Experience incorporating redlines, markups, and field changes into drawings. Working knowledge of drafting standards and drawing revision control. Must meet project requirements for background screening and drug testing. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, or site infrastructure projects. Experience preparing as-built drawings. Experience with Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Revit, MicroStation, or similar design software. Associate's degree or technical certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
