Job Opportunity: Associate Medical Director

Our organization is on the lookout for Associate Medical Directors to manage community-based practices within the largest public health care system in the United States, NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. We are currently inviting applications for the Associate Medical Director position at the Morrisania clinic located in the Bronx.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement clinical strategies for transforming ambulatory care.
• Lead and guide the clinical direction for the site.
• Engage in the development and execution of site management business and clinical quality strategies.
• Foster collaborative relationships across various service lines and programs to address care gaps and achieve common objectives.
• Direct teams and organizational units towards a vision and unique strategies that enhance both short- and long-term performance.
• Maintain an on-site presence to fulfill all work-related duties.
• Balance responsibilities between administrative tasks (50%) and clinical duties (50%).
• Provide coverage during late evenings and weekends as part of the standard scheduling rotation.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in a medical specialty, preferably in Internal or Family Medicine.
• Unrestricted New York State Medical License.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual Base Salary: $256,000* based on a 40-hour work week.
• Total Compensation Package: Estimated at $281,600**, including base salary, 401(k) contributions, and additional factors.
• 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required. After one year, an additional 7% contribution is provided, also with no match required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Premium plans with employee contributions significantly lower than market rates.
• Life Insurance and AD&D Coverage: Equivalent to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you.
• Optional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage for you and your family.
• Medical Malpractice Coverage (occurrence-based) provided at no cost to the employee.
• Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for healthcare and dependent care.
• Pre-tax contributions for commuting expenses.
