Unit Information: Progressive Care / (61629) General Information about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds - 24
• Number of Staff Type of staff: + Day Shift Charge, 4-5 RNs, 2-3 PCTs + Night Shift Charge, 4-5 RNs, 2 PCTs
• Patient Ratios 5:1
• Type of equipment Tele monitoring, post op monitoring
• EMR Meditech / CPN

Must have:

• Minimum 1-year current hospital PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS & NIH

Preferred or nice to have:

• Cardiac experience
• Prior Meditech experience

Typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Post-op recovery of patients (surgical and from cath lab)
• Post op ortho patients (spine, joint)

Brand new state-of-the-art unit, ADA/Bari rooms within room Hoyer lifts (x2), great unit culture with excellent teamwork and collaboration, and wide range of nursing experience.

Variety of patient population (elective ortho, spine, GYN surgeries), elective Cath lab procedures (post PCI, post pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, re-vascularization patients), stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, respiratory failure, set rate for cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin) etc.

Modified self-scheduling process, schedules post 3 weeks in advance leaving plenty of time for finding trades for any scheduling issues
