Physical Therapist Assistant - Hospital Inpatient - Full-time

Overview Physical Therapist Assistant: Full-time - Hospital Inpatient. We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient hospital team in Valencia, CA. We are a 357-bed, not-for-profit community hospital and trauma center known for our cancer program, stroke and spine programs, an acute rehab unit, expanding cardiovascular services, outpatient wound care services, and a range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. You will provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation activities. Responsibilities Review patients’ medical history Provide excellent 1:1 care for patients, spending time with each person (approximately 40 minutes per patient) Diagnose patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with clear goals and expected outcomes Use exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on manual therapy to manage pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain or injury Record patient progress and modify the plan of care as needed Assist in evaluation of client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program Observe patients during treatments and report observations to the Physical Therapist Communicate with staff and other health team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs Qualifications Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice required #J-18808-Ljbffr
