Surgical Tech II

Department/Unit: Operating Room Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $46,220.72 - $64,709.01 Position Overview: Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals integral to the surgical team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and a surgeon to facilitate surgical procedures. They ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and patient safety is maintained. Responsibilities: Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgery. Understand the procedure and anticipate the surgeon's needs. Maintain the sterile field and ensure sterility of instruments and supplies. Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts following established policies and procedures. Assist with patient positioning and prepare operating rooms as needed. Function independently in the scrub role and as a circulator under RN supervision.
