About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BLS, CPI Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Ability to administer insulin and heparin drips. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in cancellation. Must be able to work holidays. There is a possibility of taking care of COVID patients. Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. Charge role is required for night travelers. Traveler experience is accepted. Unit will accept first-time travelers. Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may occur. Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. All travelers and staff are required to attend unit team meetings, which are scheduled monthly. Target patient ratios are between 1:6-7. Daily census is approximately 43 patients. Patient diagnoses include adults and geriatrics with general medical/surgical needs. Special procedures and unit details include insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high flow oxygen. Short-term BiPap with respiratory support may be available. No additional training is needed for procedures outlined. Appropriate for all medical/surgical nurses. No PCU level patients are assigned to this unit. All candidates are required to float within or near the facility as per the job description.
