Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney

*Location:* San Antonio, Texas (Hybrid Schedule)

*Compensation:* $130,000 - $150,000 DOE + Benefits

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and career-oriented *Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney* to join our team in San Antonio.

*Position Overview*

The ideal candidate will have *3-7 years of litigation experience* and be ready to independently manage a docket of approximately *30 active personal injury cases* from inception through resolution. This role offers significant responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and meaningful trial opportunities.

We are seeking an attorney who demonstrates strong professional commitment, excellent communication skills, and a desire to build a long-term career with the firm. Candidates with insurance defense experience are preferred, though attorneys from the plaintiff's side with relevant personal injury litigation experience are encouraged to apply.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Independently manage a caseload of approximately 30 personal injury litigation matters.
* Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
* Develop case strategy and provide thorough legal analysis and recommendations.
* Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
* Prepare and argue motions before state courts.
* Attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance representatives.
* Maintain accurate billing and case management practices.
* Participate in trial proceedings and be willing to first-chair or second-chair cases when appropriate.

*Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
* Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar.
* 3-7 years of litigation experience.
* Personal injury litigation experience preferred.
* Insurance defense experience is highly desirable.
* Plaintiff-side personal injury attorneys with strong litigation backgrounds will also be considered.
* Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and deadlines.
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Stable employment history and commitment to professional growth.

*Work Environment*

* Hybrid work schedule for attorneys.
* Attorneys are generally expected in the office Tuesday through Thursday.
* Professional, team-oriented environment with strong emphasis on responsiveness and client communication.
* Office conveniently located near Loop 1604 and Huebner Road in San Antonio, Texas.

*Billable Hour Expectations*

* Approximately 500 billable hours per quarter.

*Compensation & Benefits*

* Competitive salary ranging from *$130,000 to $150,000*, depending on experience and overall fit.
* Firm-paid *50% medical insurance premium*.

* Firm matches employee 401(k) contributions:
* 100% match on the first 3% contributed.
* 50% match on contributions between 4% and 5%.
