Senior Mobile Engineer

In this role, you will: Design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications, ensuring robust system design, API integration, and data modeling that deliver reliable customer experiences across platforms. Lead implementation of complex mobile features from technical design through deployment, applying strong knowledge of mobile architectures, patterns, and performance optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions, driving clarity in low-level design, API contracts, and data flows. Ensure mobile applications meet security, reliability, and operational standards, including monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution for owned services and components. Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products in mobile contexts. Provide technical mentorship within the team, promoting engineering best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and mobile‑specific performance and reliability. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience. 8+ years of relevant professional experience. Proven experience as a mobile engineer designing, implementing, and maintaining production mobile applications at scale. Demonstrated expertise in mobile system design (including low-level design), API design, and data modeling for mobile applications and backend integrations. Experience owning one or more mobile services or components through the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, deployment, and operational support, with strong proficiency in core mobile technologies, tools, and frameworks and familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products. Preferred Qualifications: Deep experience designing and evolving mobile architectures and patterns for complex applications, including API and data model evolution to support new capabilities and cross-platform experiences. Track record of improving operational excellence for mobile services, such as enhanced observability, performance tuning, reliability engineering, and incident prevention in large-scale production environments. Experience integrating mobile applications with multi-service or domain-level backend systems, ensuring clear contracts, resilience, security, and efficient data access patterns across services. Safely integrates and operates AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, such as personalization, recommendations, or intelligent assistance within mobile experiences, including experimentation and measurement of impact. Hands‑on experience using AI-driven developer tools, workflows, or platforms to enhance mobile engineering productivity, code quality, or testing, and leading teams in evaluating and adopting emerging AI capabilities in the mobile development lifecycle. Pay Range: The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $184,500.00 to $258,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
