IT Technician

We're seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on and remote technical support for our employees. This role will serve as a first point of contact for technology questions, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, prepare equipment for new employees, and support the systems our teams rely on every day.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for help desk inquiries and respond to tickets within established service standards.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and operating system issues through resolution.
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, actions taken, and final solutions.
• Install, configure, image, repair, and replace computers, software, servers, switches, network devices, and related equipment.
• Set up workstations and verify equipment and account access for new employees.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to employees.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and remote support tools.
• Assist with Teams, Logitech, and other audio and video conferencing systems.
• Create user instructions and technical documentation for common processes.
• Participate in a rotating schedule for new-hire technology training.
• Collaborate with Technology team members and departments across the organization.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Up to two years of desktop support, help desk, or related IT experience.
• Experience with IT service management practices and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow preferred.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or relevant Microsoft certification preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of computers, networks, software, and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with servers, switches, network devices, and related hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to work effectively with users of varying technical abilities.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Work Arrangement & Travel

• This is a full-time position with typical working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Occasional travel may be required to provide on-site support.
• Some after-hours, weekend, or overtime work may be required based on business and support needs.
• Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
