Position: Pediatric Care Tech (Pediatric ER) Location: RWJBarnabas Health, New Brunswick, NJ Status: Part-Time, Night Shift, 24 hours per week (3 shifts). Pay Range: $20.11 - $28.67 per hour. Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health seeks a dedicated Pediatric Care Technician for the Pediatric Emergency Room at the New Brunswick facility. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association required. Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred. Certified nursing assistant preferred. Scheduling Requirements Night Shift, 11p-7:30a, includes every other weekend and some holidays. Essential Functions Assists pediatric patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care. Takes vital signs, performs ECG, phlebotomy, and bedside care such as bathing, mouth care, and skin care. Provides patient care appropriate to the age and needs of patients in the assigned service. Communicates with patients and nursing colleagues regarding the status of patient care. Participates in collaboration of patient plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning. Ensures effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions. Other Duties Job duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
