Business Analyst 3 Location: 5500 E. Oltorf St., Austin, TX 78741 Duration: 1 year The Worker will perform highly complex systems analysis to complete software test activities for all test phases of a software development project and will be expected to: Analyze business requirements and develop software specifications Review, analyze, evaluate and develop test plans and scenarios based on business and system requirements to ensure traceability Monitor and perform system testing and facilitate user acceptance testing Coordinate with IT and business project teams to identify and document software defects and work with developers to coordinate defect solutions Work in a highly collaborative environment Provide on-call support, 24 hours per day/7 days per week, as needed WORKER EDUCATION: Preferred: Education Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited four-year college or university CCBA Certification or CBAP Certification CPA Certification WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: Years Skills/Experience 12 Gathers and analyzes business requirements and develops software specifications, complex test scenarios and test plans with business and technical groups 12 Coordinates the review of test plans, scripts and results of system test plans with business and technical groups. Develops test scripts and test plans using testing tools for software specifications 12 Executes test plans and script reviews and assists team members in performing and completing test activities. Coordinates, monitors, and performs system testing, and facilitates user acceptance testing 12 Identifies, analyzes and documents software defects; assists developers in analyzing and resolving defects 12 Thorough understanding of financial processes related to Trial Balance, General Ledger reconciliation, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles 10 Skill in analyzing financial or accounting problems and identifying effective solutions 10 Participates in various software development reviews and provides advice and assistance to other team members in analysis, design, and test 8 Assists in developing and monitoring project plans and schedules; assists project managers in making assignments and managing project tasks 8 Experience in testing web software applications 8 Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies 8 Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications with other computer professionals and clients 8 Considerable skill in using a computer with various word processing, spreadsheet and database software 8 Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with others at all times in the course of conducting business 8 Extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy Preferred: Skills/Experience Knowledge of child support systems and child support financial activities Working knowledge and previous experience in the development of the Texas Child Support Enforcement System 2.0 Knowledge of web application development technologies and processes Knowledge of WebSphere and portlets
