About the Position

Job Title: RN II - Interventional Radiology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 8 hours Shift: Day Shift Auto Offer Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: One year recent Emergency Department, ICU, or Surgery Department RN experience required. One year Interventional Radiology experience required. License: Current RN license in state of practice required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred. Must-Have: Current Epic experience required. Description: Responsible for coordinating and provision of nursing care to patients during specified shifts. Assists with interventional radiology and other invasive studies or treatments. Performs comprehensive, advanced clinical patient assessment before, during, and after procedures. Demonstrates awareness of age-specific and diagnosis-related differences. Provides appropriate nursing interventions in stable and emergent patient situations. Competent in arrhythmia recognition and treatment, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of arterial access sites. Manages care of patients requiring cardiac pacing. Monitors patients receiving conscious sedation. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of equipment used in procedures and troubleshoot problems as needed. Provides education related to procedures to patients and their families. Uses teaching methods appropriate to the condition and learning readiness of the patient. Demonstrates competency in arterial/venous catheter/sheath removal with assessment of potential problems. Ensures nursing standards of practice are met. Participates in incident reporting and departmental quality assurance and improvement development. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of ECG arrhythmia and informs physicians of changes as they occur. Implements appropriate interventions and anticipates potential complications. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Committed to safety and wellbeing of associates and patients and complies with vaccination requirements. Participates in verification processes as required.
