NOW HIRING A NETWORK DESIGN SPECIALIST: The Network Design Specialist performs a range of duties related to supporting telecom network design, service delivery and network documentation. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining circuit documentation in the KFN circuit database – CircuitVision. The successful candidate will be trained in using the CircuitVision – cvNetwork system and will have opportunities for additional development & advancement. WHY JOIN OUR TEAM? Create and maintain circuit and design layout records Allocates network resources including bandwidth, facilities, equipment and associated addressing Participate in technical discussions with customers and network affiliates to gather details for order creation Interfacing with customers to coordinate service order dates, equipment installation, test and turn-up activities2 Coordinating schedules, deployment and installation of fiber, equipment required to test and deliver new services with KFN internal engineering teams Create LOA/CFA documents and maintain related records Other duties as assigned Position requirements: A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Good organization and time management skills with a focus on organizing, prioritizing and completing tasks on time and within budget Learn and master proprietary software programs like CircuitVision and other workplace applications Communicate with all customers, peers and business contacts in a professional and courteous manner Knowledge/Experience in a telcom or related field is highly desirable. Understanding of LOA/CFA and knowledge of customer facility assignments and secondary connections is desirable Basic understanding of Optical Networking, OSI Layer 2 Ethernet Networking, VLAN tagging, OSI Layer 3 IP Networking, addressing and subnetting desirable Sound like the right place for you?
