Police Officers value people and perspectives by: Providing rescue help and emergency first aid treatment. Answering questions, providing directions and prompt assistance to the community. They are on the leading edge when they: Deter and detect unlawful activities by effective police work. Gather evidence, question victims, suspects and witnesses, and follow up on related leads. And they expect the best by: Responding to calls for assistance, investigating complaints, and maintaining order in disputes. Directing traffic, reporting hazardous conditions, and enforcing ordinances. A bachelor's degree by the date of hire. A valid Minnesota Peace Officer License or be eligible to be licensed in the State of Minnesota by the date of hire. A valid Minnesota Driver's License or be eligibility to be licensed in the State of Minnesota. A background or interest in local government work serving the community. An interest in developing what you do best and a commitment to valuing each colleague for their unique perspectives.
